September 12, The Day After

Today is the day after September 11, another day that will live in infamy. Ironic that September 11 this year came on the day after Hurricane Irma created historic havoc in my adopted home state of Florida, and one week after unbelievable hurricane devastation in Houston.

It seems appropriate today to stop and remember those incredible first responders who go into the face of danger during the hurricanes, be it the weather kind or the kind created by evil men. America is a nation of heroes …. the guy who goes in after a storm to repair dangerous downed utility lines or the lady who pilots an F-15 over enemy territory 5,000 miles away.

There may be physical damage all around us, but America’s entrepreneurial, can-do, kick-butt spirit is alive and well today.
